Content Executive

Offices in London and Corby

We work with some of the best technology companies on the planet to bring people the latest products, innovations and services, wherever they are on their SBC and IoT journey, from hobbyists and entrepreneurs to industrial designers and resellers.

The purpose of the digital content executive is to support & deliver best in class product and marketing content for our customers. We are looking for someone to join who is passionate about customer centric content and can help OKdo navigate the ever-changing content landscape and support our browse and shop content across our digital estate.

What You’ll Do

  • The role supports the timely creation of marketing and sales content for OKdo to trade products effectively to customers
  • Currently the Content manager completes all tasks, and the introduction of this role will enable OKdo to accelerate the improvements we are looking to make to support our strategic objectives.
  • This role is vital to the timely creation of New Products on their arrival into the group, and the standard of their presentation across the groups websites
  • The role helps to improve the quality of content on our websites, increasing our SEO rankings and visibility to customers

Requirements

  • At least 2 or more years working in a digital content role at an agency / in-house
  • Experience of the digital marketing landscape with experience of SEO
  • Experienced in writing web copy for a B2B and B2C audience
  • Experience carrying out tasks, such as, keyword research, on-page optimisation and analytics reviews
  • Experience working as part of a digital marketing team and delegating work
  • You won’t look at us blankly if we talk about tools such as Moz, Keyword planner and SEMrush
  • Be able to use standard reporting tools like Google Analytics to analyse website’s performance
  • You’ll keep up to date with industry changes and actively read blogs to further your knowledge
  • Being comfortable working around HTML is a bonus
  • Experience in content marketing and how it can earn backlinks
  • Experience getting hands-on with websites to make changes such as editing copy, uploading meta data or fixing problems
  • You’ll push our digital experience SEO offering forward, working with our SEO onsite lead to improve our processes to constantly improve our results

Key relationships for my role/Who do I need to consult with?

  • Daily with Content Manager and Digital ecommerce team of up to 9 others
  • Daily with agencies and product teams to gather the detail required before producing the content
  • Regularly with suppliers to obtain approval and assets prior to creating content

Digital User Experience Designer

The purpose of the digital designer is to generate engaging graphical elements to support the Brand marketing, Digital marketing and Ecommerce teams across OKdo. You will add professional design input to all assets being created and will work closely with our Brand team to maintain consistency and identity.

What You Will be Responsible For

  • You will own the creation of all design assets across the OKdo business
  • You will work with teams across the business to gather requirements and formulate a clear brief before creating the assets
  • You will be responsible for the consistency and look and feel across the OKdo websites through the designs you create
  • You will review all current assets and define a roadmap of improvement that will sit alongside supporting the business in creating the support for the new projects that are being delivered
  • You will have a customer experience background that will allow you to contribute to the evolvement of the customer experience on OKdo.com, not just generate assets

What You Will do

  • Work with all channels within OKdo to ensure that web assets are created and deployed in the appropriate format and of the highest quality possible
  • Decide on the best visual representation of briefs provided by stakeholders and creates visual assets as required for each channel
  • Request and obtain creative assets and collateral from different sources, and ensures that they are delivered in a timely fashion to guarantee projects are delivered on time
  • Present creative solutions to marketing briefs submitted and recommends amendments according to the capabilities of the code or functionality
  • Ensure the customer experience considerations are at the heart of all design work.
  • Accept creative input from business owners and work to accommodate into their work.
  • Ensure that all key stakeholders in the project are kept informed of progress, with drafts distributed, validation milestones met and completed work supplied to specification and timescales.
  • Optimise designs and assets based on metrics and insight. Use measurement to track effectiveness of designed solutions.
  • Maintain and update web pages and/or marketing templates as per the requirements of business stakeholders
  • Create and maintain accurate documentation of creative solutions and production processes
  • Ensure efficiency of processes, continuously improve production methods and clarity of communications

Requirements

  • +3 years in a digital design role within a retail and customer experience focused business
  • Demonstrable experience of creating engaging content across all media formats
  • Practical and demonstrable experience of designing web pages and forms for commercial or transactional websites.
  • Must be able to create code using the following tools and languages
  • HTML & CSS  (html 5, css3, Less, Bootstrap)
  • Photoshop, Dreamweaver, JavaScript / jQuery
  • Meticulous approach, giving proper attention to detail to deliver high quality work.
  • Knowledge of multi device and responsive design
  • Good understanding of SEO principles
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Up to date knowledge of advances in computer technology and how this affects the business environment
  • Self-starter with the ability to identify new opportunities to help meet the overall objectives and work closely with Technical teams to understand opportunities and constraints of digital disciplines.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise daily workload whilst working accurately under pressure; adjusting and modifying at short notice
  • Excellent communication and networking skills
