Description

The M5Stack Colour Sensor is a colour recognition unit based on a TCS3472 chipset that detects colour value and returns RGB data to the host, so it’s ideal for product colour verification and colour tracking robots. The TCS3472 chipset is integrated with a 3×4 array of filtered photodiodes and 16 bit analog-to-digital embedded converters. This colour unit is compatible with M5 Core, M5StickC, and M5StickV.

Colour identification principle

• The TCS3472 chipset is integrated with a 3 x 4 array of filtered photodiodes and 16 bit analog-to-digital embedded converters. 
• Includes 12 photodiodes: 3 with red filters, 3 with green filters, 3 with blue filters, and 3 with no filters (clear), which gives a total range of RGBA (RGB + Transparency).
