This 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi evaluation kit for the RN171 module delivers the versatility to link-up directly to a PC through a standard USB interface or to embedded processors via the TTL/UART interface. Complete with two handy push buttons for controlling both SoftAP and WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) mode without the need to configure your software, you can simply power this device by USB connection or batteries. Supremely efficient and energy-conscious, this device features a battery boost circuit which will power the board using just two AAA batteries (the input voltage can dip to 2.0Vdc when using this circuit) – making it ideally suited to remote sensing and data acquisition systems in the field.
