OKdo, part of Electrocomponents Group Plc, signed a new distribution deal with Qoitech, the creators behind Otii, a comprehensive developer toolkit for optimization of energy usage for devices used in internet of things (IoT) applications.

Otii enables hardware and software developers to simplify energy measurement, visualisation and analysis of devices for IoT applications, optimizing battery life and increasing their longevity. It combines the capabilities of various traditional test and measurement instruments into one tool with intuitive and easy to use software and UI which pinpoints the code, peripherals or hardware that contribute most to the energy consumption of the application.

The beauty of Otii is that developers and teams also can share the data with customers, colleagues and suppliers in a collaborative way  to take remedial action swiftly, shortening the development cycles, avoiding firefighting and significantly extending the battery life of their products.
