As well as ouputting NTSC colour video, it takes snaps of the video and sends them over the TTL serial link. There’s a selection of resolutions to choose from – 640×480, 320×240 or 160×120 pixels. Each creates a ready-compressed JPEG image to shrink the size of the files, so you can store masses of shots on your SD card.

Great for any data-logging, security or photography project, automatic image adjustment means you get the very best results from your camera including white balance, brightness and contrast.

Another top feature for surveillance projects is the motion detection which lets you capture images when changes happen in each frame.
