Description

Intel® NUC Rugged Chassis Elements are modular carrier boards and housings designed to work with an Intel® NUC Compute Element. This NUC Rugged Chassis Element consists of a NUC Rugged Board Element and a passive enclosure. The Rugged Board Element consists of a connector for the Intel® NUC Compute Element to plug into, along with input and output connectors and headers.

Key Features of the Intel® NUC Rugged Chassis Element BKCMCR1ABB

This Dual LAN Intel® NUC Rugged Chassis + Board Element is tailor-made for harsh and extreme environments. The Dual LAN board – designed for IoT deployments – offers design flexibility.

Connectors
The NUC Rugged Chassis Elements have input/output connectors on the front and back panels, including:

  • 3 x USB 3 Ports
  • 3 x USB 2.0 Ports
  • Ethernet Connector (RJ-45)
  • 2 x HDMI Ports
  • 2 x Antenna Connectors

Power
The Intel® NUC Rugged Chassis Element uses a supplied AC to DC power adapter with a six-foot attached cable with a barrel connector:

  • 90-264 Volts AC input, 47-63 Hz
  • 19 Volts 4.74 Amps DC output
  • 3-pin AC power cord (options include no AC power cord, US AC power cord or EU AC power cord)
  • Delayed AC start is supported

Storage
The NUC Rugged Chassis Element has 2 M.2 connectors:

  • The M.2 connector parallel to the 300-pin connector has support for both PCIe NVMe and SATA storage solutions.
  • The M.2 connector perpendicular to the 300-pin connector has support for PCIe NVMe storage solutions only.

Display Emulation
NUC Rugged Chassis Element support the emulation of displays utilising the HDMI ports so the system can be remotely accessed in a headless configuration or be capable of tolerating display connectivity interruptions without the operating system redetecting and rearranging the overall display layout.
