OKdo, part of Electrocomponents Group Plc, signed a new distribution deal with Qoitech, the creators behind Otii, a comprehensive developer toolkit for optimization of energy usage for devices used in internet of things (IoT) applications.
Otii enables hardware and software developers to simplify energy measurement, visualisation and analysis of devices for IoT applications, optimizing battery life and increasing their longevity. It combines the capabilities of various traditional test and measurement instruments into one tool with intuitive and easy to use software and UI which pinpoints the code, peripherals or hardware that contribute most to the energy consumption of the application.
The beauty of Otii is that developers and teams also can share the data with customers, colleagues and suppliers in a collaborative way to take remedial action swiftly, shortening the development cycles, avoiding firefighting and significantly extending the battery life of their products.
“We are very excited to provide the most efficient developer tools to Okdo customers and community to help them design for low energy consumption and long battery life, critical for reaping the benefits of IoT. We are looking forward to be on this journey with Okdo”, said Vanja Samuelsson, founder and CEO of Qoitech.
OKdo launched in April 2019 with the vision of shaking up the global technology sector by focusing on single board computing (SBC) and internet of things (IoT) and becoming the go-to choice for manufacturing, services, software and distribution.
It’s mission of securing world class partnerships with the world’s leading technology companies is already underway and they are already endorsed by the biggest players in the game including Raspberry Pi, Seeed, NXP and Nvidia.
“Qoitech embodies what IoT is all about in terms of giving its users the data, visibility and insight to drive significant efficiencies throughout their operation. This is perfectly in sync with what OKdo is all about, which is enabling our customers to change the world using market leading technology” said Richard Curtin, SVP of Technology, OKdo.
